Wireless modem HW architect

To collect and analyze requirements and design solutions in the field of multi-standard wireless modem including

Tier 1 operator requirements.
Follow industry and competitor offerings.
Track activities in the industry radio access technology standardization bodies.
Follow and influence offerings from relevant IP vendors.

To take a leading role in system design projects in the field of multi-standard wireless modem. This include to

In cooperation with the algorithm research team analyze and evaluate feasibility of algorithm design solutions.
In cooperation with the ASIC development, SW development and system design teams define design solutions in terms of HW architecture candidates. This includes
Mapping modem functionality on HW and SW executing units.

Analyzing and dimensioning data paths, memories and computational resources.

Analyzing and selecting IP components such as sub-system interconnect, vector DSP, CPUs, radio interfaces, clocking and power domain strategies, etc.

Characterize HW and SW in terms that can be used in a system simulation.

Perform HW system behavior simulation

Work location: Lund, Sweden
Requirements: Min. five years of professional IT experience.
